The Town of Eden known more common as Eden is a prominent well-protected merchant town in the region where Asentos, The Hobgoblin Empire, once stood. Eden’s traders connect the region after the fall of the previous empire.
History
Eden has had a vibrant history over the years. Many tales paint the walls of this sand covered settlement.
Pre-Fall
Though it is known that Eden was created before the downfall of the Asentos Empire, little from that time period remains due to haphazard record keeping.
Post-Fall
Eden soon took advantage of the chaos to become a thriving merchant settlement. Eden became the main hub of trade for the nearby villages and hamlets still scarred by the sudden Fall and desperate for the sense of security the Empire once provided.
Eden became quite prosperous which attracted the wrong kind of attention. It’s dilemma was solved by the arrival of a band of orcs looking for sanctuary. In their time of great growth, Eden acquired many valuable and occasionally magical items.
A problem for Eden occurred when the town’s river dried up threatening the entire town with terminal dehydration. Citizens from the town were dispatched to find the cause of the problem.
Geography
Eden is situated in a desert valley where a small stream, big enough for a small boat, runs through the centre of town. The town contains minimal vegetation with most of it growing on the riverbanks.
Population
The town contains a number of people ranging in the hundreds with many different backgrounds and races.
A precise measurement of the town cannot be given as the town’s census has never been done post-Fall.
The town’s population as been estimated to be mostly Halflings and Orcs however the town boasts a large Tiefling presence.
