Our Activities

Dungeons and Dragons

Our group leaders run weekday and weekend sessions for groups of four to five. We assist players to find the right group for them.

These games see players creatively build their own characters and play through adventures tailored to their interests. The Campfire has designed its own accessible rules for these games, developed in consultation with a senior disability education specialist.

Players experience in-game social interactions and decision-making at their own pace, in smaller segments than a real-world situation.

Sessions are generally 3-4 hours, including gameplay and lunch. Food, games and necessary equipment are provided.

Board games

The Campfire offers a range of games for players of all abilities. Our games are selected based on accessibility, the skills they teach and of course, how fun they are!

These teach collaboration through team games, strategic thinking and problem-solving through the puzzles the games pose, as well as literacy and numeracy, all whilst developing friendships.

Other activities include:

  • Bouldering

  • Virtual reality

  • 3D printing and miniature painting

There are many benefits to playing these games, learn more.

NDIS support

NDIS participants are able to claim the cost of these sessions under Core and Capacity Building.
